December 11-15

This week we:

*Read a story called Bear Snores On and talked about sequencing and characters. We even learned to act this story out with Ms. Trudy!
*Learned about animals that hibernate
*Focused on the letter Ii
*Made torn paper bears and wrote about them using 'spicy' adjectives
*Read great bear stories
*Worked on teen numbers, sorting, and solving addition and subtraction problems to 5

Next week we will:

*Work on gingerbread stories
*Continue to work on the letter Ii
*Make our winter tree posters
*Complete our winter project
*Get together with our 5th grade buddies to celebrate our mitten drive! (If you haven't turned in your mittens yet and would still like to, please send them to school as soon as possible. Thanks!)

News and Other Reminders:

*Friday, December 22 is our Kindergarten Pajama day. Your child may wear pajamas to school and bring a small stuffed animal or blanket. These items must be small enough to fit in a backpack. I'll send home a reminder.

*Please continue to send all winter gear to school with your child everyday. Thank you!

*PLEASE practice tying shoes at home. This is a great independent task for your kiddo to know.
